PENTINGNYA MEDIA SOSIAL BAGI PERTUMBUHAN IMAN JEMAAT DESA TANJUNG HARAPAN

Abstract

In the rapidly developing digital era, social media has become an inseparable part of people's lives, including in rural areas. This study aims to determine the importance of social media in the growth of the faith of the congregation in Tanjung Harapan Village. This study uses a qualitative approach in a literature study by involving the identification of literature sources including journal articles, books, and related research to explore the importance of social media in the growth of the faith of the congregation in Tanjung Harapan Village. Social media can facilitate the dissemination of Christian information, build communities online, and increase awareness of the importance of such fellowship. However, social media can also cause misunderstandings, conflicts, and decreased awareness in relation to the community if not used wisely. The Bible is the main source of the growth of the congregation's faith, because it contains the word of God that can guide and strengthen faith. Social media has great potential to be used as a means to teach the teachings of the Christian faith based on the Word of God. This study has implications for the importance of proper and wise Christian education in using social media to increase the growth of the faith of the congregation in Tanjung Harapan Village
