2025-10-02T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Semper Reformanda https://ejournal.sttlintasbudaya.ac.id/index.php/JSR/article/view/100 INKULTURASI BUDAYA SEBAGAI JAWABAN GEREJA KRISTEN MENGHADAPI KRISIS KEBENARAN DI ERA POST-TRUTH 2025-12-20T11:21:08+07:00 Jefrie Walean jefrywalean@gmail.com Soneta Sang Surya Siahaan Siahaan.soneta@gmail.com
The post-truth era is characterized by the blurring of boundaries between fact and opinion, where emotional narratives often outweigh objective evidence. This condition creates a significant truth crisis, including within religious contexts. This paper proposes cultural inculturation as an effective theological and pastoral response for the Christian Church in addressing these challenges. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach to analyze relevant theological, sociological, and communication literature. The findings indicate that cultural inculturation is not merely a process of adaptation but a dialogical strategy that enables the Church to communicate the truth of the Gospel in a contextual, relevant, and authentic manner. The novelty of this article lies in positioning inculturation as a contextual apologetic strategy rather than a simple cultural adaptation. The study concludes that the challenges of the post-truth era cannot be addressed solely through defensive or polemical approaches. Cultural inculturation offers a strategic, contextual, and transformative response. By reframing truth communication contextually and bridging logos and pathos, inculturation enables the Church to present the truth of the Gospel not as an abstract proposition imposed upon others, but as a living, relevant, and experiential reality within a particular cultural context
2025-10-02T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Semper Reformanda https://ejournal.sttlintasbudaya.ac.id/index.php/JSR/article/view/101 INTEGRASI EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE (EFT) DALAM PELAYANAN PASTORAL: KAJIAN TEOLOGIS DAN PRAKTIS 2025-12-20T11:26:40+07:00 Djoko Santoso Djokosantoso2007@gmail.com Soneta Sang Surya Siahaan Siahaan.soneta@gmail.com Budi Maruli Sitompul budimarulisitompul1969@gmail.com Timothy Amien Rk ps.timothy.amien@gmail.com Christianto Chrisparas2019@gmail.com
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an emotional-release method that combines elements of acupuncture and psychology to help individuals address emotional and physical difficulties. This technique aims to reduce physical and emotional tension by tapping specific meridian points while expressing positive affirmations. EFT, which originated from Thought Field Therapy (TFT), operates on the basis of body-energy theory, emotional conditioning, and neuroplasticity. This article examines the application of EFT in pastoral care and analyzes its compatibility with Christian theological principles. Through a literature review and three case studies, the article demonstrates that EFT can help reduce symptoms of anxiety, stress, trauma, PTSD, and certain forms of chronic pain, as well as diminish negative emotional responses such as deep sadness and aggressive behavior in children. From a theological perspective, several principles within EFT such as the use of constructive speech and anger regulation show alignment with biblical teaching. This article aims to explore the biblical basis, the understanding of the early church tradition, and the construction of systematic theology concerning the pre-incarnate Christ as the divine Person consubstantial with the Father. The study begins with an analysis of key biblical texts such as John 1:1, Colossians 1:15–17, and Philippians 2:6–7, which affirm the existence of the Word prior to creation. A historical patristic examination demonstrates the early church’s consensus through figures such as Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, and Athanasius that Christ is not a created being but the eternal divine Person who participates in both creation and divine revelation. A systematic theological approach further establishes that pre-incarnation is not merely a dogmatic tradition but a theological reality that upholds the integrity of the doctrines of incarnation, Trinity, and Christian soteriology. Without the affirmation of the pre-existence of the Son of God, the uniqueness of Christian Christology and the metaphysical grounding of divine salvation would be rendered insufficient. Therefore, this study asserts the enduring significance of the pre-incarnate Christ as the center of Christology, especially in engaging the shifting landscape of contemporary theological thought
2025-10-02T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Semper Reformanda https://ejournal.sttlintasbudaya.ac.id/index.php/JSR/article/view/103 REKONSTRUKSI KEPEMIMPINAN PETRUS: ANALISIS HERMENEUTIS DAN TEOLOGIS ATAS TRANSFORMASI DAN KONTEKSTUALITAS GEREJA PERDANA 2025-12-20T12:22:50+07:00 Ranly Joily Johnly ranlyjjkojo@gmail.com Daniel Octavianus daniel.octav@pancasilacitta.ac.id Rohana J Sutjiono rsutjino121@gmail.com Rudianto Rumahorbo rudiq77@gmail.com Zet Reinaldo Linansera linanserarein@gmail.com
Peter stands as a central figure in early church leadership whose journey reflects a significant spiritual and theological transformation. This study reconstructs Peter’s leadership model through a hermeneutical–theological approach by examining key biblical texts and scholarly literature. Using exegetical and contextual analysis, the study finds that Peter’s transformation was not merely moral but a theological work of divine grace and the Holy Spirit, enabling him to bridge Jewish tradition with the universal mission of the Gospel. The findings affirm that authentic Christian leadership emerges from spiritual restoration, humility, and contextual sensitivity. This reconstruction offers relevant insights for developing transformative and contextual church leadership in the contemporary era
2025-10-02T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Semper Reformanda
